gabriela.mussapSometimes people think psychology is only for breakdown people or patients in therapy for some disease, but the reality is that psychology is more than that. The strengths and experiences we can have as psychologists can bring a lot of advantages for different positions, because the skills that we have are applicable to many situations, like as a customer service, marketing, education and many other fields. As a psychologist I possess a several strengths that can be value to those positions, some examples of these strength are: Active listening: as a psychologist I am trained to listen attentively and understand people’s needs, help to gather relevant information and respond effectively. Problem-solving: psychologists often analyze complex situations and find solutions; I seek ways to quickly overcome challenges when they arise, with coolheaded and following the procedures. Empathy: this skill is very important because if you understand the feelings of others you can connect with them and provide support. However, I have strength that slightly goes away from my profession, which I have acquire through different jobs or experiences, these are: Automations in Excel: I can identify tasks that are performed frequently and automate them using VBA. I can analyze data, reduce time and increase productivity. Multitasking: currently it is a very important strength, because you have to know how to identify priorities, use different communication channels and handle multiple tasks or programs simultaneously; I can improve efficiency, time management and better response across different platforms.
